What adjustments are possible on the carburetor? Normally its idle speed and fuel air mix, do we have those? Do we have any others?

I got my avenger serviced at Kawasaki and a mechanic decided he would adjust it so I don't need to use the choke. The engine is now stalling regularly.

I am not currently with the bike. What I need to decided is when I pick the bike up again do I need to take it back to Kawasaki (hours away, major inconvenience) to change what they adjusted or should I just try to fix it myself. I wonder if he might have adjusted anything else that could be causing it.

  • just below the choke and to the right is the idle screw you can adjust it with your fingers yourself

  • good, I think there is more to it than that because if that was the only thing he adjusted to make me not have to use the choke he would have increased the ideal speed making it less likely to stall. Also the idle speed seemed about normal. It was stalling when I was moving slowly in trafic using a bit of breck, clutch and gas...

  • Can anyone help me with this, what adjustments can you see other than idle speed? air/fuel mix? I have to pic up the bike tomorrow and not sure if I need to go back to Kawasaki or if I can fix it myself...
