I'm impressed to Hell that the rider is still holding it up, seeing as the half-ton of cylinder on the other side is still attached!
It's mostly aluminum save for the cylinder sleeve. My R90 jugs didn't weigh that much ;-) I've had them on/off the bike twice in the past week.
No one has mentioned that's a pre 1970 Slash 2 Beemer.
The crazy part is how much argument over fork alignment goes on about airheads. Meanwhile this guy has a set of clip ons half way down the fork tubes.
I suspect this was a special one off competition machine built to set a record. A book of BMW history might have the actual story. The factory did experiment with super chargers.
What is it? A rotary engine?
