The A7 from Carlisle to Edinburgh is a lovely road.
Very quick stretches but quite twisty in places.
Leadburn inn biker friendly and st Mary's Loch via moffat
£10 per tent per night. Good facilities - showers - laundry etc. There's a shop on site, a bar/restaurant, and there's often a butty van for the breakfast bacon rolls.
Along loch cluanie..glenelg is a nice detour..or straight up to Kyle..or turn right for the bealach na ba..to applecross
Invarey worth a look and swing by the green welly bike friendly cafe some great roads a lot of twisties
A68 to Dalkeith. Motorway (unfortunately) to Stirling. Then Crianlarich - Tyndrum - Glencoe. Awesome.
