Another angle on my 08 V2K. Roadburner pipes Kuryakin grips and throttle boss — Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 VN2000 Rogue owners riders

Another angle on my 08 V2K. Roadburner pipes, Kuryakin grips and throttle boss. Bare removed the secondary throttle flies for me for a big improvement in throttle response.

  • Did the same thing, but by mistake. My throttle cable snapped while I was on the road so I swapped them around just to get me home. My throttle response was SOOOOOOO much better, that I never put the return cable back on. I spent ALOT of time on throttle adjustment and got it pretty good with the 2 cables, but, it is so much better with just the pull cable.

Looking at lowering my 04, i see a few people have snapped shockies any hints on the right lowering kit ??

  • Thanks, Brendan Skaggs! Your right, it's more appealing to get a $120 chunk of metal than a $500 shock. I think if your bike is a show bike & doesn't see any real miles, it looks great & well worth it. Or maybe if your on the lighter side of the scale & not causing a metric ton of down pressure on the shock, maybe it will last longer. All I can speak to is what has happened to me. BTW Brendan, how's ol Tejas? I'm a Jersey boy, but spent about 10 years in Austin & floating around Central Texas. Been through Burleson a bunch of times on my way up to Ft. Worth. Grab some Taco Cabana for me, Brutha!!! lol

  • Matt, You wouldnt miss the heat my friend!!! 106 today!!! Hell its too dam hot to almost ride!!! like the apes, mine has 16's. makes the bike almost perfect!!!! Next stop, rake kit!! By the way, what in the hell is in Jersey!!!!!

  • Jersey was a step up from Brooklyn, where my folks were raised. lol I'm up in Canada now...long story, feel free to friend me & I'll explain it some time. Anyway, 106 IS hot, but is still rideable. I'll tell ya what. I'll trade ya your 106 summer for my -35 winter! That sounds fair, right! lol I thought about a rake kit, but if I did that, I would wanna do the whole Bagger Nation thang. Rake it, chrome 22" wheel, bags. Totally pimp it out. My big issue with that is the bags for our bike are way too small, due to the placement of the exhaust & the design of the frame that does't allow the exhaust to be split down both side of the bike. Because of that, ya really have to keep the bags no lower than the top of your rear cylinder exhaust. That makes them took way to small & ya loose that "Slammed" look. I did see once that a guy used a 2-1 cobra pipe & modified a set of Road King Classic bags. Looked pretty good, but, I can just hear the shitstorm now, for using Harley bags on a metric bike...actually, maybe I should do that, just to tweek some people! lol Anyway, if ya do the rake kit, get some pics up right away!

Just want to say that I bought a 2008 Diablo Black V2K uncrated and assembled in April 2010 by and from Bare Carr. It is by far the finest bike I have ever owned.
