I don t know if you guys and gals are aware but the council in Derby are... — Kawasaki Ninja Riders

I don't know if you guys and gals are aware but the council in Derby are trialling the use of bus lanes by Motorbikes. I received the following email from the head of their road safety dept and wondered if you could help me by emailing with support for bikes in bus lanes:

RE: bikes in bus lanes

From: Werbinski, Stan (Stan.Werbinski@derby.gov.uk)

Sent:06 May 2008 17:49:57

To: ian weston (weston_ian@hotmail.co.uk)

Hey up Ian, there will be a review of the Duffield Road bus lane in September. I’ll feed info from the Uttoxeter and Nottingham Roads trials in that review, which should hopefully result in a recommendation to allow bikes in more bus lanes.

Spread the word Ian to your biker mates, and get them to either write in/email me. The more bikers wanting bikes in bus lanes the better.

Cheers Stan

Top Ten Reasons Why Sportsbike Riders Riders Don't Wave Back

10. They have not been riding long enough to know they're supposed to.

9. They're going too fast to have time enough to register the movement and respond.

8. You weren't wearing bright enough gear.

7. If they stick their arm out going that fast they'll rip it out of the socket.

6. They're too occupied with trying to get rid of their chicken strips.

5. They look way too cool with both hands on the bars or they don't want to unbalance themselves while standing on the tank.

4. Their skin tight-kevlar-ballistic-nylon-kangaroo-leather suits prevent any position other than fetal.

3. Raising an arm allows bugs into the armholes of their tank tops.

2. It's too hard to do one-handed stoppies.

1. They were too busy slipping their flip-flop back on.

I highly recommend Manuel & Willie, my favorite bike mechanics in NY (I've tried others and these guys are the best). Former helicopter mechanics, they can do anything. They specialize in Japanese marques but I've seen them rebuild everything from Harleys to ancient Royal Enfields.

New guy here — Kawasaki Ninja Riders

New guy here.

I ride a 1989 ZX-10 Ninja. Old but classic! A lot like me I guess. ;-)

She's got 85,000km on her and keeps going like the fine machine she is. The big sled runs straighter and faster at high speed than anything I've ever had!

Glad to be here.

Please help — Kawasaki Ninja Riders

Please help

Can someone help me? I have a zx600 and the problem is my clutch lever has gone slack and the lever will not depress also cant ride it of course, Iv followed the cable back to the gearbox and the lever that sits on top off the gearbox does not spring back which makes the cable tighter? Is it the cable or some sort of return spring in the gear box?

Thanks

MJ

  • That sounds like it would be some sort of recoil/spring back mechanism thats shot, Good luck

    K.

  • Did you tighten the cable?

genuine Kawasaki accessories for less than the recommended retail price

hi all thought you like to know that dk motorcylces in stoke are selling genuine kawasaki z750 accessories at less than the price listed in the kawasaki price catalogue . i priced a seat cowl and belly pan for my 07 z at my local dealers they quoted the kawasaki cat priced at £108 for the cowl and £201 for the belly pan . dk motorcycles web site is selling the same kawasaki parts for £98 ( seat cowl) and £167 (belly pan) and £6 for p&p tolal cost was £271 i saved £38 even after i'd payed postage. looks like the prices they've listed are the cost to them prices and not the rrp! they've got e few other bits listed to that are cheaper than what they should be ! my bits were here within 4/5 days to . so be quick before they realise there mistake!!

NINJA PERFORMANCE TIRES — Kawasaki Ninja Riders

NINJA PERFORMANCE TIRES

What is the largest rear tire available to fit on a 2005 Ninja 250r?

  • .. a bike is set up to run the size tire it comes with. going wider will make the handeling worse on it. i know they look weid with such a small tire, but you could probably go up one size wider if you wnated, which wouldnt make much difference...

Ninja Engine Swap — Kawasaki Ninja Riders

Ninja Engine Swap

Im a noob to the whole biker scene. i was a tuner head whole just got rid of my Toyota Supra and bought a bike. The maintenance on that thing was hell. But after much consulting, i figured the Ninja 250 is the best starter bike so i bought it. But what i would like to know is, can u do an engine swap on a bike for a more power engine (eventually of course)? thats common in the tuner world but can u do it on bikes?

  • or, take less chances, be less risky, probably spend less money, and just buy a bigger engine bike once you need more power? :)

  • dont waste your time or money. get a bigger bike. the 03-up zx6r (636) is a great bike! loved mine until it got stolen and totalled. possibly one of the best all time bikes in my opinion!
