Hey all. I am looking for some frame sliders for my 05 Z50S any suggestions — Kawasaki Z750 and Z800 Owners

Hey all. I am looking for some frame sliders for my '05 Z50S, any suggestions? The last set I got was for a Z1000, dealer said they would fit but alas no such luck.

    • What didn't fit? I have a set of Motovation sliders on mine, but I bought them used. Not sure what they are for, but I had no problems installing them.

    • The ones I had were from Lightening Performance products. I've since found some on twistedthrottle.com hopefully they will do the trick.

    • Cool. Hope they work out for you.

I got my 2005 2k last fall, put a few thounsand on her. Can't wait to get after it this spring. I switched over from an 1100 Yama, besides the HP and torque boost, any advice I need to have before I take her cross country? Thanks!

    • It's easy to lose track of time and MPH when sliding down I-80. Can't wait to get back after it!!

    • I guess not having ridden on a my girl at that speed for any distance, I would have to speculate that the wind would beat the shit out of you with no windshield (there is a reason I have a fairing on my girl). The reason I ask is I've done the 1,000 mile Iron Ass in 16 hours and the Boarder to Boarder in 32 hours (International Falls, MN. to Juarez, Mexico) and have averaged between 95- 100 mph stopping every 2- 2 1/2 hours to fuel up running at that speed. The mods to be able to run that fast are Eurogears, which makes 5th gear an overdrive and as you've seen in my photos I also run on the Darkside. Averaging that speed I'd be replacing tires every 1,500- 2,000 miles. Also my girl is only 19 months old with 37,000 actual miles bought with 3/10ths of a mile.

    • Well I-80 in PA was one story but once you got past ALL the construction I just stayed with the Trucks an some of the fast cars.

    zzr1400 vs busa — Kawasaki ZZR1400

    zzr1400 vs busa

    personally i always owned kawasaki ... love kawasaki's ..

but many believe or claim that busa's are faster..

do you think so ? .. Do technical data confirm that ?

it's a matter of prestige really nothing more nothing less...

i'd really like to hear your opinion ...

    • Thermis, ZZR1400 is faster. There are different tests you can find on youtube. Also acceleration from a ZZR1400 0-250 within 10 seconds... Colleague of mij can't hold on when i put down the throttle... ZZR is WAY faster... But if it didn't, i don't care, because there is nothing what beats a Kawa

    • It ain't the gun it's the gunner

    • much prefer my zzr1400 than a busa.If i wanted to sit on a couch id stay at homel lol

    2. handlebars, nakakangawit pag long ride

    3. tagal mag warm-up ng engine

    4. matigas i kickstart kasi walang auto decompression ang piston

    5. medyo unstable sa malakas na hangin

Y anchor, the Ultimate Security Ground Anchor — Kawasaki Ninja Riders

Y anchor, the Ultimate Security Ground Anchor

The totally concealed concrete fitting motorcycle security ground anchor

Like no other ground anchor on the market.

The Y anchor provides Motorcycles with the Ultimate security chain ground anchorage. Its unique totally concealed flush fitting design is like no other ground anchor on the market.

Check out our feedback pages for images of installed Y anchors sent in by previous customers and as you will see the Y anchor can also be fitted into Block paving and Crazy paving even Tarmac.

Unlike bolt down security anchors the Y anchor does not depend upon the bolts integrity to withstand attack. It doesn't matter how strong the material used in the manufacturing of a bolt down type of ground anchor, the bolts themselves are their weak point. Yes bolt down ground anchors are quicker to install, BUT also quicker to remove.

There are lots of other designs in concrete fitting motorcycle security ground anchors on the market. But they all have one thing in common; their security chain access eye/hole/tunnel's are situated above ground level leaving their most vulnerable point exposed.

The Y anchor has none of the weaknesses mentioned and thats why the Y anchor has become the choice of motorcycle security for Bikers worldwide.

    h2 oil filter — KAWASAKI ZXR750

    h2 oil filter

HI, I have recently bought a 1990 zxr750 h2 and would like to change the oil and filter,my workshop manual says that I have to remove the rad,oil cooler and exhaust to get oil filter out!. Is there any way to remove filter without removing everything else?? Thanks.

    • hi i think you should be able to do this job with out doing any of that!! the h1 has the oil filter at the front of the engine below the rad, the h2 filter is located under the engine internaly and should be easy to access!! i have a h2 and have done oil and filters and simply undid the filter from underneath!!!

    • I have a J1 and recently had it apart fixing the thermostat housing as it was leaking. I had to take all the fairings, radiator, hoses out to even see the oil filter, which could be, i found, taken out and replaced without undoing the headers. Not alot of room though. I should have changed the filter then.

    • I have a H2 with a Micron exhaust on it. It's a bit of a wiggle but I can change the oil filter no problem without removing anything. Hope this helps.

    • you have been reading for a h1,h2 is easy as Andrew says

    • i don't think people that steal motorcycles would really want to work that hard.

    • You would be suprised, plus this video features a 4 bolt ground anchor some have 2 bolts and some have only 1 bolt. so imagine how quick they would be to remove.
