Most of my stuff is Kaw and show chrome Side covers raditor cover regulator... — Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 VN2000 Rogue owners riders

Most of my stuff is Kaw and show chrome. Side covers, raditor cover, regulator cover all show chrome accs. Kyryakin (spelling?) made the brake pedal cover and Kaw freeway bars, luggage rack, handgrips ordered from Kaw also but made by kyryakin. All this was found on ebay for much less than the dealerships. The only thing is like the brake fluid reservoir cover was advertised as chrome but is polished aluminum still looks great though just ask sellers before buying.

What is the furthest you have travelled on your Ninja — Kawasaki Ninja Riders

What is the furthest you have travelled on your Ninja?

Hi all,

I have not gone on a long trip with my bike yet and everyone keeps telling me that my back and wrists are gonna be killing me....I would just really like to know how far people have gone and how they were feeling at the end.

Thanx

  • I have done a few long trips on my 6R. The longest was from somewhere between Peansacola and Tallahassee, FL to Loxahatchee, FL (about 600 miles) It took me like 9 hours, making stops for gas and food. The only thing that really bother me was that I didn't have boots. You need them, it get warm on the legs. The back won't hurt if you change possitions and the best one is just laying on the thank. You can streach your legs while riding, no problem. Your wrist . . . you shouldn't put any weight on them. Keep your abs tight and press your knees to the tank. That way your wrists won't feel the weight. Before a long trip, you might need to practice it. You will feel like you just workout. Hope this help.

  • Hmm.. On my 650r I went about a couple of hours and about 100 miles.. I try to relax my wrists and try not to tense up my muscles in my arms or you will get tired. Some people I heard putting there feet on the passenger pegs to stretch out...

  • i have a zx7r 1999 she has just clocked 100000 and from london to moto gp in valenca in southen spain about 3500 mile trip in 6 days

  • i have a zx9r e1.

When i first got it i found it very heavy on the wrists but i knew of this before i got it. You soon get used to this.

As for the back ache while im on a long ride my back is fine it does however become painfull once i stop riding at the end of the day.

I do however get a really numb arse after about 40 miles and then after about 60 miles it become painfull enough for me to have to pull over and walk around for a bit.

Other than that i can ride it all day, tank after tank.

  • have been riding a ninja for a year and have really bad wrists.... but i thought it was RSI from typing 8-10hrs a day on a laptop at work... could it be the bike causing it??

I bought mine last March as a 05 left over 2 tone paint for 11k out the door... — Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 VN2000 Rogue owners riders

I bought mine last March as a '05 left over (2 tone paint!) for 11k out the door, already have 15k mls on it and love it. I'm 6'4" at 260lbs and have no problems on that end. It is easier to handle and has a better seating position (with a little help from my Mustang seat which I highly recommend) as my girlfriends VTX 1300.

I am 5 10 and 165lbs and been riding a vn2000 Classic Lt for three years now — Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 VN2000 Rogue owners riders

I am 5'10" and 165lbs and been riding a vn2000 Classic Lt for three years now. I moved up from a 750 Shadow. It is a heavy bike but after riding for a little while you do not even notice it. I don't have any problems with the weight. The bike handles great and I actually enjoy riding the twisties on it. Its hard to describe but the bike just feels a lot lighter when your going down the rode. Test ride and decide for yourself but I recommend one you will not be disappointed!

Proud owner of original 2000 model W purchased new in Toronto Over 26K on... — Kawasaki W650

Proud owner of original 2000 model W - purchased new in Toronto. Over 26K on stock seat. Low bar kit and Metzlers + new rear fender only changes. fabulous little bike currently nestled in the garage next to 04-VFR. Just waiting for 10 celcius.......

Only downside with Ontario, other than the 6 months of arctic blast and the irritatingly straight roads is the criminal cost of M/C insurance. To all those Ontario bikers who choose to travel to the US to have their accidents, thank-you for the 20% increase in premiums this year.

If you're going to crash - do it at home

Hello I just purchased a 2005 Kawasaki ninja that has only 1180 miles. 1900 km — Kawasaki Ninja Riders

Hello, I just purchased a 2005 Kawasaki ninja that has only 1180 miles (1900 km), and still has the "nubbs" on the tires. it is mint and has been basicaly in storage since it was new. I am looking for EXPERT advice on what I should do before I start and ride it. The owner did add fuel stabilizer, and ran it periodically during storage, as well as kept the battery on charger. But what else do I need to do?

Anyone else wanting to drive a bit around the Pyrenees this summer — Kawasaki Versys

Anyone else wanting to drive a bit around the Pyrenees this summer?

I am planning a tour for driving and relaxing around July 1st.

Preferably I would start from Perpignan and end perhaps end up on the west coast of Spain in Acoruna.

Not needed to follow each other the whole way, but perhaps just to have a day ride together and meet up for a meal and lying about all the great driving we did that day : ))

My 1st bike was KZ1000 That was in 1989 then in 2000 I bought a used vulcan 800 classic and had no problems at all with alot of custom work done to it ,and now In 2007 I bought a vulcan classic 1500 FI so I moved up in stages and everyone of those bikes I liked . and there is tons of stuff you can do to them. It depends on what you can handle or like or the price range also. good luck
