Hmmm.... not impressed. Only just 2 years old, 7600 miles, one winter use, and this happens.

My last bike was a ZX10R with what appeared to be the same finish - 10 years of use, including more than half of them through winter and still as shiny as the day it came out of the crate.

Is it worth complaining to Kawasaki?

I should add the bike was professionally treated with ACF50 before this winter.

    Is the clutch working itself although I have the handle pulled in?

    Or is it just an indication for me to let the handle out?

      Great day out riding in Wales today, bit dusty though when following mates in front as they kick up the bleeding road salt in the middle of the road. One bloke who last week collected his brand new Triumph tiger 1050 17 plate and has just done 350 miles on it is now without it. It's developed a knocking noise and is now back at the dealers while they try to find out where it's coming from. I told him I wouldn't have it back if they've stripped the engine down. Apparently under sales of goods act you have the right to get a new replacement or total refund. He said he was a nats cock away from getting a Honda Africa twin and wishes he had now. Personally I would never ever touch a Triumph or Ducati etc...It has to be Japanese for me every time.. What's worrying him is we're all off to Germany in May and he's sitting at home with no bike and £11,500 down.

      Just wondered if anyone has heard similar stories regarding new ZZR14's or is it just a Triumph thing ?

        Looking for any tips in the replacement of plugs . Bike all stripped as renewing coolant . And downpipes . But there doesn't seem to be much space . Doing it at the weekend if anyone has any tips or advice thanks

            Questions Very strange but just one side of my 2012 zzr1400 front left hand... — Kawasaki ZZR1400

            Questions : Very strange but just one side of my 2012 zzr1400 front left hand side brake pads have worn almost down to the limit, but the rest are ok. Any ideas why just one side is worn? I have tried to get into the caliper to change the worn pads but the bolt is seized solid. Any ideas how to best remove it without knackering the caliper?

            If I do need to replace the nissin brake caliper is it the same as the Gen 1? If so what years? I'll try source one from Ebay!

              I think today should have been entitled "XBOX and Beer".

              Pulling out of my mother-in-laws drive on a slight camber, stalled and dropped the bloody bike on the right side.

              Thankfully the R&G did it's job nicely, side fairing R&G protector has a slight scuff and exhaust R&G protector on the new Carbon Yoshi's also has a slight scuff but both fairing and exhaust unmarked. Slight scratch on the lower black fairing but it looks like a minor repair. Broke the right foot peg so new one on order.

              Right knee was banging but thought feck it i'm off out.

              Went to Jordans to get a pair of new PR4's as it was dry..... well it WAS dry, came outside and it was pissing it down with brand new tyres on. At this point I thought "i should've stayed on the f'kin couch with a beer and the XBOX".

              Managed to get home ok and the bike is now cleaned and back in the garage awaiting a tyre scrub session.

              Some days are just meant to piss us off but thank FCUK I had the presence of mind to fit the R&G's.

              Shit happens eh?

                Hello guys, greetings from Lithuania! I bought my beast this fall, just upgraded it with Vance & Hines cs one exhaust and I love it. But there is one thing that I would like to fix till the spring comes. My front suspension seems to bottom out with a hard hit when I go over a speed bump. Tried all kinds of suspension settings but that didn't solve the problem. Could have springs gotten soft over time? Will be grateful for any kind of info.

                  Tell me about eco mode. I had a reflashed ECU, which stripped it of red line, and gave me a more aggressive advance. But without fail within say 4 miles the ecu would start leaning it self out. I fitted discreetly one of those lamarder plugins that was meant to tell the ECU every was fine at 13.5:1. But it didn't work, the bike would lean itself out at about 4 miles. Anyone have technical insight into this? Cheers.

                    Bar rissers fitted by my self. What a fxxxxr they was to fit on the brake side. Then ! I found brake fluid leaking from a bolt !! Tytend that up no brakes ! And now I have breaks . Checked to see if pipes had room to move

                      Watched a couple of YouTube videos showing how to free off front disc buttons — Kawasaki ZZR1400

                      Watched a couple of YouTube videos showing how to free off front disc buttons. It shows them being turned by hand afterwards. My bike has just been dealer serviced, and I can't turn them by hand, and there is no mention of them in the Kawasaki workshop manual.

                      I know these bikes are supposed to be prone to warped discs, and it seems like it would help prevent this if the disc is able to float properly.

                      What are your thoughts on this please?
