    <<< KH250 Reg. DIW 2505? >>>

    ******************************* *****************

    Hi Guys,

I have been trying to find any information about the whereabouts of my original KH250 that I had when I was 17-18-19 in the early-1980s. Searching the Swansea Records revealed nothing as it was a N.Ireland Reg. "DIW 2505" ... even though I sold her in Manchester when I moved to University there in 1981 (sold her to buy a black-blue 1978 GS550E!).

I bought the KH250 B4 (originally in white) in N.Ireland when I was doing my A-levels at 17 years old. I did my main Art A-Level Project on her, with a "Bat out of Hell" paint-scheme on her ... getting an "A" for the efforts! I had a LOT of fun on this Bike back in N.Ireland during the 'Troubles.'

In recent years I have added about 5 x KH250s to my Collection (very clean S1, FLF bodied triple, etc) but it would be nice to find out what ever happened that original Bike!?!

    Anyone seen this Bike!?!

    Best, IAN

Help needed I still can't get my Kh to rev out properly!! Stripped the carbs set the points checked the condensers new plugs and leads. Smoking on all three pipes each down pipe is hot but won't rev out? Seems very sluggish to get moving of the line have to really rev it, if I hold it 1/4 throttle it seems to start building up the Revs but just bogs out if I pin it??

Update on the Saga, all three barrels new pistons and rings fitted heads on and torqued up ,inlets all cleaned and new gaskets on ,stripped the carbs and left them in cleaner overnight to say they had been cleaned previously (allegedly)

There was quite a bit of dirt came out, fitted new jets needles 1 new float new gaskets and fitted to the bike.

I found two different spark plugs fitted? Neither were listed in the Haynes manual, found my last oil leak and sorted that exhaust is coming back tomorrow so will update as I go on.

Looking to tune my b5 250 motor anyone done much like this and had noticeable... — Kawasaki KH250 and S1 250 Triples

Looking to tune my b5 250 motor, anyone done much like this and had noticeable/worthwile results? Not looking to change to 350/400 barrells or carbs as i believe this kind of defeats the object. Barrells will be blue printed to new pistons, crank will be totally refurbed with new rods seals and bearings, and a set of higgspeed pipes, mainly for the sound:) would profiling, porting and polishing be my best bets?
