Just to add to Stephen Parr s earlier comment about ferry prices to Ireland...

Just to add to Stephen Parr's earlier comment about ferry prices to Ireland, must be a time of the year for promotions because if you prefer Ferrysavers have the same deal on but that one must be booked by tomorrow. Just a note on what we are calling Dave's Memorial Ride. I am booked on with Steve and possibly one more ZZRAS member and it was just to give (especially newer members) a little background. (Incidentally, we have accommodation booked but could happily offer advice). Dave Williamson was a really helpful, knowledgeable, pro-active member of our group who from a Grimbsby-based trawler background had retired with his other half Jean to Limerick in Ireland. He became an admin for this group, organised Ireland's first ever ZZR 1100 meet-up then as well as offering top advice to anyone who needed it, was a great 'guardian' of our basic principles on here and could spot a 'mickey-taker' from a great distance. A 'dab-hand' with the old Photoshop (see example), you had to sometimes question his photographic contributions! All great fun. I made a point of meeting him and Jean on a non-bike family holiday in August last year and saw him as 'one of your genuine sorts'. Sadly of course, not very long after that Dave passed away RIP. So, thought I'd mention that anyone who might be interested would be very welcome to come along, enjoy some great biking roads, meet the guys over there and pay tribute to a thoroughly decent chap. There's also a trip to The Giants Causeway the day after and I'm confident we'll come up with some other great sights to see along the way. Please feel free to ask any questions.
