DOUBLE BUBBLE OR SPOILER TYPE SCREEN?

I do a lot of day-rides that are a combination of fast-riding and touring (getting to and from the fast-riding sections), and looking to replace the standard screen with a double bubble, but then came across multiple types of the double-bubble screen on ebay as well as a spoiler-touring screen that has a upward curve at the back of the screen. Recommendations from experience would be greatly appreciated.

  • I have a Lockhart Philips DB..I've been thinking of going with a higher screen..I get a lot of turbulence ..maybe it's my riding position... I've heard good things about the MRA screen. The holes on it minimize that vacuum sir area between the body and screen, or at least that's what I've read about it

  • Tried a few screens, powerbronze double bubble, a flip one and still the oem the bike came with is the best for fast riding and touring

  • Love my windshield just wish I could remember who it was made by.

  • Darren that's a different type of OEM screen to what is on mine, in Australia. Does it have a part number on it?

  • Mine is the 2016 PS model Jay. I'll look up part number as it's a new screen I just got due to scratching original but exactly the same.

  • Looks the same as mine (photo above)

  • It's a little different but yea it's alot nicer than the stock windshield

  • It might just be the photo that makes it look different, mine looks exactly like yours

  • Looks like same part number for 2006 onwards Jay

  • I have this on

  • OEM screen in Australia.

  • F

  • Daran Elliott do you have the part number for this screen? Cheers

  • Thanks

  • I have a PUIG that is similiar to this. I think it looks close to stock but it f=does make a huge difference in the wind.

  • Fit a flip.much more comfortable, and can be removed in 2 mins when shorter rides are happening

  • I think our oem are better! The two vents seems to help loads! That web site I sent the link for is good! I've used them for my constand and other bits

  • I'm looking forward to seeing your bike in the flesh so to speak, great looking bike Anja!

  • That's the MRA touring screen.

  • Are you coming to bastonge

  • A double bubble is shaped like it is for a reason, and why race bikes use them, they are designed so that when you have your chest on the tank, your helmet is hidden behind it, ok on straights or when doing top speed runs, but pointless on the road.

The MRA touring screen that is fitted as standard to the performance sport is very good, the one with the holes in it.

Or use a standard screen with the flip up add on spoiler screen like David has on his.

  • I'm touring up Scotland the week before so can't go

  • Top dollar

  • 2nd time I've toured Scotland and there will 8 zzr1400's a z750 and a ktm690 on this one! I'll be doing Bastogne next year

  • I had MRA on my gen 1,double bubble and holes in it.

  • I got one last year for my 14R that is a double bubble, but ended up taking it back off cause my dumbass ordered a dark smoke instead of light smoke.
