Has anyone adapted a set of Harley hard side bags on a Drifter 1500? I'm curious if this would be worth the endeavor.

    • Those Harley bags are tall because they are made for a bike with a single exhaust pipe on each side. Most Drifters have both on the right side, stacked two-high. Also, remember the fact that the rear fender of the Drifter is MUCH lower than the rear fender of of a Harley dresser. BY the time you get those mounted on a Drifter, those bags will sit way too high. They'll be positioned more like the warp engine nacelles on the Enterprise than saddlebags....

    • Lol! That's a unique way of thinking.

    • If your running a 2-up seat, the bags will hit the passenger's ass & thighs...

    • dude.. That's not what I was getting at. Don't take life so seriously. Go back and watch some more Star Trek.

    • I put Road King leather bags on my drifter..... Fit pretty good.

    • Would these get in they way if you were riding 2 up? For the passengers legs.

    • Also do you have any more photos I was considering put the roadking classic bags on mine.
