• Does anyone know the allowable tongue weight for the hitch of a 2015 Teryx Camo

Does anyone know the allowable tongue weight for the hitch of a 2015 Teryx Camo. I am looking at installing a hitch mount Salt Spreader for use at the shop sidewalks, parking lot and neighbor business. Spreader weighs 96 lbs, then add weight of the salt product.

    • For your usage, it might steer a little light but yea, I've pulled my 18 foot car trailer with my 08 several times

    • I'd say at most you might burn a belt up..but leave it in low and will probably be fine

    • Not pull weight (horizontal weight) but actual tongue weight (vertical weight). Heard some have had issues with tire mounts on the hitch.

    • Thanks Jared

    • Never heard of that, guess it's possible though..

    • I'd imagine the better question is what the allowable bed capacity is. That hitch is part of the frame, bed capacity would be a better representation of what you're looking for I think.

    • It's not supported by the bed, it's designed for light pickups and UTV's hitch mount but again of issues with hitch on other applications

    • Just try it and put in one bag of salt at a time till it looks to heavy then stop.

    • Carry the salt around in the bed haha

    • Tongue weight is 10% of towing capacity. So 150lbs.

    • Thank you Cisco Leroy
