After removing the front left fairing panel I took a look at the rusting downpipes and decided to spray them with acf50,nothing unusual so far until I put the fairing back and went to the garage to fill up.As usual I reset the trip meter and set off back home.Had a glance down at the meter and is was stuck on 0000.

I twiddled the knob and thought it was broke but later it sprang back to life but here is the weird bit,the meter always read in kilometres but now it had slowed and it appears to be reading in miles for the first time since I owned the bike.

    • Just a little wierd Paul, let us know how that all pans out

    • Was thinking the dose of lube had leaked into the tachometer thingy and freed the mechanism up a little.

    • still wierd though, be interesting if it continues like that

    • Sounds like a case for Mulder & Scully.

    • The Z files!

    • didn't know you could adjust it to read kph or mph

    • You can't.

    • Maybe tachometer from the slower D?

    • Biatch ! lol

    • I have seen a converter somewhere that does it

    • It's a little gearbox that fits on the cable at the speedo end.
